Billie Eilish Collaborator FINNEAS Debuts New Track

“Angel” is the third single by the multi-instrumentalist, and more are on the way.

No doubt you know who Billie Eilish is, but did you know that her musical co-conspirator also happens to be her older brother? Finneas O’Connell is the 21-year-old producer behind Eilish’s chart-topping debut full-length, but the three tunes he’s released as FINNEAS—”Claudia,” “I Lost A Friend,” and the new “Angel”—are slowly cementing his status as a solo artist to be reckoned with.

Written in tribute to his girlfriend, “Angel” starts out with slow and delicate piano, but soon blossoms into a multilayered, operatic falsetto supported by an echoed kick/snare combo and heavenly e-strings. O’Connell has hinted that a music video for “Angel” is in the works—you can check out the excellent video for “I Lost A Friend” here—but in the meantime you can listen to the new single here.
